The LD5001 fits between wall studs on 16" centers. The interior is telescopic to fit in 2 X 4 or 2 X 6 stud walls. There are cheaper wall safes out there, but the operative word is "cheaper".
 
This safe is made of 12 gauge domestic cold rolled steel with the exception of the telescopic rear panel made of 16 gauge to reduce weight. We use our 3 point lock bar system and these safes are only available with the Lock'er Down Metal Cased Electronic Lock.
